Improving your skills is what you get out of training. As the old saying goes "practice makes perfect".

Through training, you will be able to easily spot your mistakes and imperfections. For several pastry chefs the amount of training is a never ending task. Observing the creation of pastries, creating pastries at home, or even reading materials are some of the several forms of on going training that can be carried out. As long as you pay attention and apply what you learn, anything related to the culinary arts can always be considered as training.

Two of the most important skills you can have on your journey towards becoming a pastry chef are training and a good amount of discernment. Becoming a pastry chef is not just about taking ingredients and preparing them for cooking; it is about the proper steps towards progressing in your chosen career.
